Termes and Conditions
Our goal is to make sure we handle your move safely and efficiently. Moving is stressful enough and we want to lift the burdens of moving not create more. Sometimes we are asked to do things that no matter what precautions and care we take, the risk of damaging certain items and/or surroundings is more likely. We unfortunately are not and cannot be liable for these items and surroundings. The items we are referring to are listed below. We will still do everything we can to transport all items as safely as possible.
Important Personal Documents, Valuable Jewelry, Cash: No matter how smoothly a move goes, it’s important to understand that there is always risk of items being misplaced, lost or damaged before, during or after the move. We recommend that you personally carry with you the above mentioned items and be acknowledged that Seven Moving can accept no responsibility whatsoever and will not be liable for any losses, claims or damages of Important Personal Documents, Valuable Jewelry and Cash.
Absent Customer: We encourage our customers to be with us throughout the entire move. If for some reason you are not able to be there for the move or if you need to leave in the middle of the move, we need you to sign this release accepting all items in the condition that we bring them to you. We will not be responsible for any missing items, or damaged items. We will not be responsible for any of your items that were not moved. We will also not be responsible for items previously damaged or that is not structurally sound.
Flat Screen TV*: Flat screen TVs are susceptible to damage from extreme temperatures, slight bumps, and altitude changes. If you don’t have your original package to transport it safely, we can use our moving blankets to wrap and transport it. We will do our best to move your TV as safe as possible but it will be under standard 60 cent per pound coverage. In any case, please note that in the absence of physical evidence of external damage or negligence (visible damage), we are not responsible for TVs functioning after delivery. Please note item #6 in our EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY in terms and conditions section.
Appliances: We are movers and do not have proper training with plumbing and appliance assembly and disassembly. With the exception to appliances connected to gas lines (We do not disconnect gas lines) we will disconnect and reconnect all water lines to your appliances however if by chance the items were not disconnected or reconnected properly we will not be liable. We will also not be liable to any water damage or leaks caused by us disconnecting or reconnecting your water lines to your home or property.
Furniture assembly and reassembly: As a courtesy we will disassembly and reassembly furniture and beds, however, we will not be held liable for any injuries or damage resulting from the assembly or disassembly of your items. We DO NOT disassemble or reassemble cribs nor do we disassemble or reassemble any appliances.
Piano and Overweight Items Moves: To move a piano it takes a lot of effort and longer recovery period than a normal move. One time fee of $160 applies for upright Piano and $220 for Grand Piano. A $160 fee applies for each overweight item of 280 Lb or more. If the item is less then 150lb 2 movers should be fine but if it is over 150lb 3 movers will be required
Hoisting: depending on difficulty a hoisting fee of $60 or more will apply per item per flight of stairs. The crew will evaluate all the circumstances to determine if hoisting will be possible, safe and feasible to perform.
Truck Parking: If you would like the movers to park somewhere other than where we planned you will need to sign this waiver. We will not be liable for any damage to lawns, shrubs, trees, flowers, underground water systems or anything else that may get damaged due to parking somewhere at the customer’s request. If our truck gets stuck, you will be responsible for any towing or other charges that result from that in addition to any down time billed at the hourly rate.
Unsafe/Unique Moving Circumstances: Seven Moving is not responsible for any direct or indirect damage to items or surroundings, as a result of a specific customer request.
Push Through: Moving a couch, sofa or other large items out of your home or moving it into a new space often requires a lot of wiggling and pushing and removing of doors. It's not easy to determine if a couch will fit through a door or up a flight of stairs or into an elevator. Seven Moving will try to do it as safe as possible but is not responsible for any direct or indirect damage to items or surroundings, as a result of a specific customer request to push it through narrow doorway, stairway or hallway.
Storage/Load/Unload: Once we have finished loading your storage unit, pod or truck we are no longer take responsibility for the items. If we are unloading for you we are only responsible for the items that are in our immediate care.
Some of the items below are not permitted to move:
Potted Plants (some exceptions are allowed with prior notice)
Valuables, such as cash, important documents, jewelry and stock certificates etc.
Power Equipment with Fuel. The list of things movers won’t move also includes power equipment with fuel in the tank. This includes motorcycles, lawn mowers, weed eaters, and so forth. Before movers will move these items, you must drain the fuel or run the item(s) until the fuel reserve is completely empty. Be sure to do this at least 24 hours before loading.
Special Items such as extremely heavy grand pianos, pool tables and hot tubs (some exceptions are possible)
*Please note that Plasma TVs were not made to be moved. Do to fridge structure all plasma TVs are discontinued. We will do our best to safely move, carry and transport it however, we will not be liable for any damage.
